Plenary Speaker: Vincent J. Miller, University of Dayton, Gudorf Chair in Catholic Theology & Culture. Integral Ecology: Laudato Si’s invitation to transform Mind and Heart

Description:  Laudato Si’ is widely respected for its moral critique of the destruction of creation and call for humankind to care for our common home.  However, its notion of “Integral Ecology” goes beyond moral critique and charts a path of transformation. This talk will explore integral ecology as a transformation of mind, senses, and heart.

Plenary Speaker: Andrés Novela, Miami, Florida, Brewing Justice: My Journey of Encounter through Haitian Coffee. 

Description: Join Andrés Novela as he recounts his transformative journey of encountering the other through his work with direct trade coffee in the Northwest of Haiti. Andrés will share how direct trade practices have fostered deep, meaningful connections with the Haitian community. Learn how these experiences have shaped his commitment to justice, solidarity, and the power of ethical trade in bridging diverse communities.
