St. Mary's Students Respond Directly and Promptly to the Call of the Poor

Curt Sidorski, Ministry Lead of MFEP at St. Mary's South Side Catholic High School, St. Louis, MO, sends us this update about helping the school's neighbors and neighborhood.

Last week, our local food pantry, the Trinity-St. Stephen-CCBF Food Pantry reached out to St. Mary’s South Side Catholic High School to let us know that their stocks were running critically low going into the holiday season.  In less than a week, we organized a school-wide food drive.  Our community, a fair portion of whom are underserved themselves, responds with zeal.  Students and staff were asked to bring in two items, but most went well above and beyond this.  In all, we brought in a solid carload of food that will hopefully help to sustain and support our community members in need.
