Together for Tomorrow: A High School Summit on Caring for Our Common Home

Updated: 3 days ago

This academic year, 25 students from CMCP will attend Together for Tomorrow, a High School Summit held at Barry University through the Archdiocese of Miami.

There are five goals to the Marianist Family Encounters Project. There are also seven Action Steps to the Laudato Si' Platform. It is a unique experience when a program is implemented that incorporates all these goals and action steps.

On Thursday, October 9, 2025, 25 of our students will attend a High School Summit titled Together for Tomorrow. The summit is open to all Catholic High Schools in the Archdiocese of Miami and will be held at Barry University, a sponsored institution of the Adrian Dominican Sisters. Over 250 students are expected to attend the summit. Some of the topics to be discussed at the summit will include Simple Lifestyle, The Cry of the Earth, Permaculture with Urban Farms and Gardens, and Ecological Economics and the Cry of the Poor.

In preparation for the summit, our CMCP Broadcasting Group developed a short video for our community. I think the reflections of our students, as they prepare for the summit, are exciting.

Watch the video below and stay tuned for a posting when the students return to campus.
