One of the seven commitments of the Global Compact on Education, which is part of Marianist Encounters, is to welcome all through education, especially the Vulnerable and Marginalized. Autism Awareness Week at the University of Dayton, OH, which runs from April 2 - 5, 2024, promotes these goals.

From UD's Campus News Digest:

The Office of Learning Resources welcomes all UD students, faculty, and staff to participate in Autism Acceptance Week, April 2nd - April 5th. This week's purpose is to celebrate individuals with autism, increase visibility, and promote inclusion on our campus. We invite all community members to the following Autism Acceptance Week programs and experiences.

Various events, such as a Sensory-Friendly Space, Educational Tables, a Student-led Panel, and an AAW walk, will promote Autism Awareness Week on UD's Campus.
