A notable event at the National Catholic Youth Conference, Indianapolis, was a live digital conversation with Pope Leo XIV on Friday, November 21, 2025, during which he engaged in dialogue with a group of five high school students, one of whom was a Marianist student from Saint Louis School in Honolulu, HI.
Micah Alcisto, a senior at Saint Louis School in Honolulu, was among the five high school students chosen to participate and interact with Pope Leo XIV in a digital conversation at the National Catholic Youth Conference, held between November 20-22, 2025, in Indianapolis, IN. The 2025 Conference theme was "I AM | YO SOY." Over 15,000 students gathered for this digital interaction with Pope Leo at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. The students asked Pope Leo questions ranging from the sacraments and faith for young people to technology, AI, and the role of our Church for future generations.
Micah Alcisto posed his question about AI - Artificial Intelligence to Pope Leo, asking what cautions young people should take while using AI. Pope Leo responded, emphasizing the need for prudence, personal responsibility, and for young people to prioritize human intelligence and relationships over AI.
